Synopsis and Discussion

Cloud cover has limited ozone readings to the mid Code Green range to kick off the new workweek. Fine particle concentrations are in the lower Code Yellow range. Unsettled weather is on tap for the majority of the forecast period. The driest day looks to be Wednesday when there may be enough sunshine to elevate ozone readings into the lower Code Yellow range. Otherwise, clouds and storm chances will hamper ozone production, leading to Code Green readings. Fine particle concentrations may be a bit more stubborn and are expected to hover in the lower Code Yellow range for the balance of the forecast period. A change of air mass looks to hold off until Friday following a frontal passage so fine particle levels are unlikely to improve until then. (Perrotte)
