Ozone readings responded to the sunnier skies this afternoon by increasing into the upper Code Green range. Particle pollution concentrations are in the mid Code Green range. A large upper-level trough will remain anchored over the East for the next several days. As energy pivots around the base of the trough, a couple of cold fronts will be propelled through the area, the first of which is expected to arrive tonight and the second of which will arrive on Saturday night. Air mass stagnation is unlikely and Good air quality is on tap through the weekend. (Perrotte)
